How to do the Barbell Standing Close-Grip Curl
- 1Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart and grasp the barbell with a close grip (hands closer than shoulder-width apart).
- 2Keep your elbows close to your torso and your back straight.
- 3Curl the barbell upward by contracting your biceps, keeping your upper arms stationary.
- 4Continue to lift the barbell until your biceps are fully contracted and the bar is at shoulder level.
- 5Hold the contracted position for a brief pause.
- 6Slowly lower the barbell back to the starting position, fully extending your arms.
