How to do the Weighted Counterbalanced Squat

  1. 1Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart, holding a weight plate with both hands.
  2. 2Extend your arms straight out in front of you, keeping the weight plate at shoulder height.
  3. 3Lower your body into a squat position by bending your knees and pushing your hips back.
  4. 4Keep your back straight and chest up as you descend.
  5. 5Continue lowering until your thighs are parallel to the ground.
  6. 6Push through your heels to return to the starting position.
